Although the Apple Watch screen is small, sometimes you might need to take a screenshot. There are 2 ways to do this, but for this tutorial, you actually need to enable screenshots on your phone first, through the watch app in iOS. This article will show you how to enable screenshots, and how to perform screenshots on your Apple Watch. If you would rather watch a video about this, scroll to the bottom of the article.

Step 1: Open the Watch App on Your iPhone

Locate and open the Watch app on your iPhone. If you haven’t noticed, there are plenty of things you can do within this app to enhance your experience with the Apple Watch.

Step 2: Click on “General”

Once you’re in the Apple Watch app, locate General, and click on that. Again, you will see plenty of other things you can do with your Apple Watch from this app, but we are looking for “Enable Screenshots.” Next step…

Step 3: Turn on “Enable Screenshots”

If you scroll down, you will see “Enable Screenshots.” Turn that on, then you will be able to take screenshots on your Apple Watch. It will save them right to your photo library. Let’s move onto the watch in Step 4, so we can actually take the screenshot.

Step 4: Press and Hold Crown and Power Button on Apple Watch

As the step says, push the two buttons on your Apple Watch at the same time. You will notice a flash on the screen, and the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app on your iPhone.
