AirPods literally have one button on them. However, that button can do more than one thing. One of the things you can do with it is reset your AirPods to “Out of Box” state. This is useful if your AirPods are giving you issues with connectivity, changing the name, or anything else. If you would rather watch the video explaining the step, scroll to the bottom of the article.

Step 1: Open Your AirPods

If you have AirPods 1, then you will find your light on the inside. For the AirPod 2 and Pros, the light is on the front. With your AirPods in the case, open the case and move to step 2.

Step 2: Press and Hold the Button

Locate the button on your AirPods, and hold that button. Your light will begin to flash. Continue holding it UNTIL your light turns orange. This may take a while, so keep holding it!

Step 3: Close and Reconnect AirPods

Now you should be able to close the AirPods, place them next to your device, then open the case back up. You should see the connection animation, just like it were brand new AirPods. If you have any issues, leave a comment below and I will reply to you. Also, check out this video if it would be easier to follow along.
